“We are thrilled with the innovative and interactive series of Radio sales training courses that we have planned for all new sellers to Southern California Radio this fall,” said SCBA president Thom Callahan. “Based largely on our General Sales Managers Council’s input, these courses will focus on a variety of topics such as new business development, the art of cold calling, understanding Radio, and will also feature recent graduates of the program who have gone on to great success in their respective sales careers here in Southern California.”
To its knowledge, the SCBA is the only regional Radio association offering such comprehensive sales training courses for its member stations. “Our goal is to elevate the level of Radio sales professionalism in Southern California for people new to our industry and that starts with solid, relevant content,” said Callahan.
Upon graduation from SCBA’s comprehensive 10-week course, each seller will receive a professional designation entitled, SCBU-Certified, which will indicate superior sales knowledge helpful to their clients and prospects seeking assistance with their advertising challenges.
