Scripps Selects a Revenue Strategy Leader

The Director of Sales for The E.W. Scripps Co.‘s Detroit duopoly has been promoted to a corporate-level position that will see this Motor City media venue direct the TV station owner’s revenue strategy across all markets.


As of January 4, 2021, Tony Lamerato will be the Senior Director of Revenue Strategy at Scripps.

Lamerato has been Director of Sales for WMYD-TV and ABC affiliate WXYZ-7 since 2016. Before that he served as LSM of what was Fox Sports in Detroit. He’s also been a digital sales manager and director of new business development for Graham Media Group flagship WDIV-4 in Detroit.

In his new role, Lamerato will be responsible for implementing and tracking sales strategies across Scripps’ 19 local TV markets in the North. They include the two Detroit stations, plus stations in Grand Rapids and Lansing, Mich.; WTMJ-4 in Milwaukee and WACY-TV & WGBA-TV in Green Bay, Wisc.; five Montana markets; KSTU-TV in Salt Lake City; and KIVI-6 in Boise and KSAW-TV in Twin Falls, Idaho.
