The E.W. Scripps Co. had a busy 2019: On Sept. 19, it formally welcomed eight television stations sold by Nexstar Media Group in order to complete its merger with Tribune Media. This followed the May 1 purchase of 15 of 16 Cordillera Communcations stations, and a trio from Gray Television on Jan. 1 as that company completed its Raycom Media merger.
As such, comparisons to Q3 2018 aren’t entirely accurate.
What is accurate is that Scripps enjoyed a strong quarter, full of revenue growth.
