If there was ever a good example of ending the week on a Wall Street high, The E.W. Scripps Co. offers a great story to share with its Friday performance on the Nasdaq Global Select exchange.
With Friday’s Closing Bell, SSP was at $11.43, up $1.00 per share on heavy volume of 815,555 shares. Normal trading volume is 359,157 shares.
Shares gained value across the trading day, bringing Scripps to its third-best finish since March 1, and well ahead of its COVID-19 fueled year-to-date low of $5.52.
Scripps’ Q2 earnings report arrives August 7.
