Second Little Rock TV for Sook

Equity Broadcasting Corporation has managed to liquidate some more property, finding a ready buyer in Perry Sook’s Nexstar Broadcasting Group for KWBF-TV, the MyNetworkTV affiliate in Little Rock. Nexstar is already bringing NBC to the market over its KARK-TV. According to brokers Larry Patrick and Greg Guy of Patrick Communications, the price is $4M. Sook said that this will be his group’s 19th multistation market, either via dual ownership or some form of ownership/station management arrangement, out of its 29 total markets. “This transaction reflects Nexstar’s long-term strategy of identifying accretive acquisitions and prudently expanding our portfolio by operating multiple stations in concentrated geographic areas,” commented Sook, who went on to note that the station was being acquired for less than six times its 12-month cash flow.
