Sinclair Telecable Parts Ways With Wireless Towers

BOCA RATON, FLA. — The owner of radio stations in Norfolk and Austin has agreed to part ways with a quintet of wireless towers located in Virginia.

The buyer? An owner of 500 towers backed by Comcast Ventures.

That would be the Tony Peduto-headed CTI Towers, which operates in some 39 states.

It’s getting the towers from Sinclair Telecable, the company that recently bought out Emmis’ majority stake in its Austin station group.

The company is led by Bob and David Sinclair and is not related to Sinclair Broadcast Group, the company acquiring FOX’s regional sports networks.

Boca Raton-based Michael J. Bergner of Bergner & Co. was the exclusive broker in this transaction. He has brokered five prior tower deals in 2019.
