Sinclair’s Providence TV spin completed

Television group Sinclair had barely closed on its acquisition of CW WLWC-TV New Bedford MA when it filed to sell it back in January. Now OTA Broadcasting owns it outright.

According to brokerage firm Media Venture Partners, which represented the buyer, the deal for the station has made it to the finish line.

The price was $13.75M. Sinclair had received it along with six other stations in a $200M acquisition from Four Points Media.

The buyer is headed by Todd Lawyer and William Tolpegin and is a fairly recent entrant into the television group business.
