Sirius XM nominated for 10 NY Festivals awards

Sirius XM Radio announced that 10 of its shows, hosts and on-air promotional campaigns were nominated for ten 2009 New York Festivals Awards, making the satellite radio provider the most nominated US broadcaster. For 27 years the New York Festivals Radio Programming and Promotions Awards has recognized The World’s Best Work in radio broadcasting.


The Sirius XM nominations:

Best Satellite Talk Program: Oprah Radio, The Dr. Maya Angelou Show, What’s the Killing All About (special)

Best Satellite Talk Program: American Voices with Bill Bradley, The Conflict in the Congo (special)

Best Satellite Talk Program:  Senator Bill Bradley, American Voices (weekly show)

Best Station promotion: Martha Stewart Living Radio, Weddings Week (special week of wedding programming)

Best Program/Series Promotion:  Blue Collar Radio, NASCAR Fan Show

Best Online Radio:  Promo for Your Favorite Entertainment Online (SIR) SIRIUS Internet Radio

Best Talk Program/Interview:  Senator Bill Bradley, American Voices (weekly show)

Best Talk/Interview Special:  SIRIUS XM Convention Radio (pop-up micro channel devoted to the 2008 Republican and Democratic Conventions)

Best Talk Program/Host Driven:  The Gayle King Show, Oprah Radio (daily show)

Best Satellite Radio Personality:  Senator Bill Bradley, host of American Voices
