NEW YORK — A long-term agreement between Mitsubishi Motors North America and the lone satellite radio company serving North America has just been extended.

This will see a relationship between the automotive company and SiriusXM last a few more years.

Specifically, the new agreement extends through 2028.

Mitsubishi owners and lessees will continue to receive a three-month trial subscription to the SiriusXM Platinum Plan with the purchase or lease of any new, certified pre-owned and eligible pre-owned SiriusXM-equipped Mitsubishi vehicle.

With a SiriusXM Platinum Plan, consumers can opt to receive SiriusXM’s full lineup of content and can also listen to SiriusXM outside their vehicles on the SXM App, along with connectivity via connected devices and smart speakers.

MMNA CEO Mark Chaffin commented, “Our agreement with SiriusXM continues to deliver on that promise, bringing the best of the entertainment industry to our customers’ fingertips.”

Rodney Pickett, EVP of Automotive Sales and Distribution at SiriusXM, added that the company was “thrilled” to extend its relationship with Mitsubishi.
