The satcaster will launch its annual “St. Paddy’s Day Radio,” a day-long channel celebrating the music of Ireland. The channel will air on St. Patrick’s Day, Thursday, 3/17, beginning at 6:00 am ET on Sirius channel 18 and XM 45.

“St. Paddy’s Day Radio” will feature a blend of Irish music from traditional artists like the Chieftains and Clancy Bros and contemporary Irish artists such as Dropkick Murphys and an acoustic in-studio performance by Celtic punk band Flogging Molly.

The channel will be hosted by Larry Kirwan, the founder and frontman of the premier Celtic rock band Black 47 and host of the weekly Celtic Crush show on SiriusXM’s The Spectrum channel. Celtic Crush features music from Kirwan’s private record collection of classic Irish music, which includes a soulful mix of traditional and contemporary music from the Celtic countries and England. Celtic Crush airs on Saturdays from 7:00 am – 10:00 am ET on The Spectrum, Sirius channel 18 and XM channel 45.
