SiriusXM to launch “Chris Carter’s British Invasion”

Sirius XMIt’s a new weekly three-hour show dedicated to the artists and music of the British Invasion, launching Sunday, 4/7, at 9:00 am ET on Little Steven’s Underground Garage Channel.


The show will cover all aspects of the British Invasion and feature artist interviews as well as hits, album tracks, B-sides, and live recordings from iconic artists including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Mott The Hoople, The Move, The Creation, Oasis, and many more.

“As listeners already know, the British Invasion of 1964 to 1968 is the heart of the Underground Garage format here on SXM 21, but this will be our first show dedicated to the music and era that defines our identity,” said Steven Van Zandt , creator and producer of SiriusXM’s Little Steven’s Underground Garage channel and E Street band member.

Chris Carter ‘s British Invasion will air Sundays at 9:00 am ET, with an encore presentation Mondays at midnight, on Little Steven’s Underground Garage, via satellite on channel 21, and through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at siriusxm.com.

Carter has interviewed Paul McCartney , George Harrison , Ringo Starr , Dave Davies , Donovan and other British rock royalty. Carter was a founding member of the alternative rock band Dramarama and wrote and produced the award-winning documentary film ‘Mayor of the Sunset Strip’ about legendary DJ Rodney Bingenheimer.
