Slacker announced the addition of ABC News to the Slacker Personal Radio experience providing listeners with updated news. Slacker listeners now have access to a dedicated news station covering national, world, sports, politics, entertainment, business and tech as well as the option to include headline news for top of the hour updates on any Slacker Radio station.

Slacker listeners have access to reporting and in-depth audio coverage on the ABC News station from a team of ABC News anchors and correspondents, including Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos. The ABC News station also features segments from ABC News programs, including “Good Morning America” anchored by Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Juju Chang and Sam Champion, “Nightline” anchored by Terry Moran, Cynthia McFadden and Martin Bashir and much more.

“ABC News is excited to provide Slacker listeners with award-winning audio news content,” said Steve Jones, vice president and general manager, ABC News Radio. “Slacker offers their audience immense flexibility to enjoy custom content anywhere: in the car, on their phones, at home, and we are happy to provide the full range of ABC News coverage to the Slacker Radio experience.”

In addition to featuring top news stories, the ABC News station will enable Slacker listeners to create a more personalized experience by selecting specific stories they want to hear, similar to the song skipping on music stations. Listeners to the free Slacker Basic Radio service will be able to try the ABC News service for up to 14 days risk-free, while Slacker Radio Plus subscribers will have unlimited access to the ABC News station and headline news updates.

The full experience is accessible to all Slacker Radio Plus subscribers, which is available for as low as $3.99 per month and can be purchased by visiting www.Slacker.com or selecting the “upgrade” button from within a mobile app.
