Small cable company sold

WENR Corporation, a holding company with media aspirations, is making them come true via the acquisition of Satview Broadband Ltd., a cable TV and internet provider based in Reno NV and serving subscribers in Nevada and Utah. It earlier struck a programming agreement with a Reno LPTV.


Terms of the acquisition were not revealed.

“We are excited about this acquisition,” said Dan Green, CEO of WENR Corp. “With a cable operator and television stations we are transforming WENR into a media enterprise. Our goal is to acquire other cable operators on a low cost subscriber basis.”

The company is starting up a “…financial oriented network with a focus on small-cap, bulletin board and pink sheet companies. The format initially will be a profile of small-cap companies using their own promotional footage with in-studio interviews.”

The startup program is based at Channel 43 KELM-LP in Reno NV, which it is operating in agreement with licensee NGENSOLUTIONS L.P. Green is a member of the licensee.
