The Tacher CompanyAn independent AM station bringing local service to citizens living north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is bringing in the national cavalry to help out, in the form of rep service Tacher Company.

The station is KGAF-AM, owned by Eberhart Broadcasting.

Adult Hits KGAF is a Class B on 1580 kHz with 250 W-U, DAN. It serves the area just to the north of Dallas-Fort Worth, with some fringe contour penetration into the urbanized area.

It calls itself Hometown Radio and relies heavily on its own live and local air talent. The goal of the company is to superserve its city of license, Gainesville.

GSM John Hambrecht stated, “We are excited to have The Tacher Company represent our radio station. The Tacher Team knows and understands stations in small markets like ours, and they have a unique niche to be able to tell our story to clients we would never be able to reach and create business to benefit the client, agency, and ourselves. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.”

The station says it more than holds its own against its well-heeled competitors based in Dallas, coming in #1 in its Cooke County home among adults 35+ and #2 among adults 18+.

Tacher aims to assist the station in achieving its goals. It said, “We are excited to partner with broadcast professionals like those at KGAF AM and look forward to telling their story to our national agencies.”
