‘So You Think You Can Dance’ finishes (maybe the last) a mild showing

The Fall edition of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE ended on a high note last night, posting a 2.6/7 among Adults 18-49 and 7.0 million Total Viewers.


SYTYCD was the second-highest rated show of the night among Adults 18-49 and was No. 1 for the night among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

Last night’s, 12/16/09, results finale grew +13% from its Tuesday performance finale in the adult demo, +18% among Adults 18-34 and +11% among Total Viewers.  

In addition, the SYTYCD finale grew throughout the night and gained in its last half hour versus its first by +17% among Adults 18-49, +17% among Adults 18-34 and +15% in Total Viewers.

FOX ranked No. 2 for the night among Adults 18-49 and No. 1 in Adults 18-34 and Teens.

Competition
Following an encore of Disney’s new holiday special Prep & Landing (2.0/6), ABC ran repeats of The Middle (1.7/5), Modern Family (1.9/5) and Cougar Town (1.8/5).  At 10p, an original episode of Eastwick (1.3/4) was in line with its recent performance.

On CBS, The New Adventures Of Old Christine (2.4/7) and Gary Unmarried (2.5/7) were high while Criminal Minds (3.7/10) and CSI: NY (3.1/9) matched season averages. 

Night three of NBC’s Sing Off (2.2/6) posted its lowest rating to date, down -15% from the prior night’s performance (2.6/7 on Tue).  The Jay Leno Show (1.6/5) was in line with its Wednesday average at 10p.
