With the first ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ performance show this cycle, FOX won the night on a total primetime basis among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54, all key female demos and Men 18-34.  In fact FOX outperformed its nearest competitor for the night (NBC) by +24% among Adults 18-49, +56% among Adults 18-34 and a dominating +86% in its core demo of Women 18-34.


The Top 11 performed on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and posted a 2.6/9 for the night among Adults 18-49, up +4% compared to the Top 20 performance show in the fall (vs. 2.5/6 on 10/27/09).  Versus last Wednesday SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was down -13% (vs. 3.0/9), with nearly half of the decrease coming from lower overall television usage week to week (-6%).

Summer to date, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE is up +21% among Adults 18-49, +20% among Adults 18-34, +33% among Teens and +24% in Total Viewers versus its Fall ’09 Tues/Wed average

Competition
ABC ran repeats of The Middle at 8p (0.9/3) and 830p (1.1/4), followed by repeats of Modern Family (1.4/4) and Cougar Town (1.0/3). An original Happy Town posted a 0.6/2 at 10p, down -25% from last week’s telecast.

CBS aired TV’s Greatest Surprises: A Paley Center for Media Special (1.4/5) from 8-9:30p, repeats of Rules of Engagement (1.3/4) at 9:30p and Criminal Minds (1.6/5) at 10p.
Following a repeat America’s Got Talent (1.6/6) at 8p on NBC, an original America’s Got Talent (3.0/9) was even with Tuesday’s performance and down -19% vs. its Tuesday episode last week.  A repeat Law & Order: SVU posted a 1.6/5 at 10p.
