Sometimes nothing succeeds like failure

Richard L. Gorman's GOCOM Media is looking to add a station in the Champaign-Springfield-Decatur IL DMA, where it already owns and operates a pair of Fox outlets, WRSP-TV 55 Springfield and WCCU-TV 27 Urbana. In order to pull off its proposed acquisition of WBUI-TV Decatur, it'll need a failing station waiver from the FCC. The station is being sold for 4M cash, 15K of which will be allocated to a non-competition agreement. The seller is ACME Television of Illinois.
