S&P 500, Dow close at record levels


Stocks closed marginally higher on Tuesday, after retreating from intraday highs set in early morning trade. The S&P and Dow closed at record levels for the second straight day. The Dow rose for the fifth consecutive session and closed 19.97 points, or 0.1%, higher at 16,715.44. The S&P finished less than a point higher at 1,897.45. The Nasdaq ended the day down 13.69 points, or 0.3%, at 4,130.17.

The RBR Radio Index was up 4.207, or .5%, to 926.303.

The TVBR Television Index was down 19.830, or 2.4%, to 816.445.
