The Houston Chronicle reports that Houston-based Latin America TV (LAT TV) has ceased operations and laid off nearly all of its 65-person staff. The network, which broadcast on LPTV outlets in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Phoenix, lost support from a private investor after failing to get as much cable carriage as anticipated.
