Seriously? Indeed. Two Shining Brands At Radio

They say that variety is the spice of life. When it comes to the client roster of a radio station, consider it a very tasty condiment.

Two brands seeing to gain household top-of-mind awareness in a big way are each using radio to spread their message to the masses.

Rising to No. 6 in the latest Media Monitors Spot Ten Radio report is Seriously.

No, we didn’t misspell Sirius XM. Rather, we’re talking about Seriously — the company led by CEO Andrew Stalbow that’s responsible for many of the smartphone games many of your listeners spent their free time engaged with.

Among Seriously’s more popular games one can download is Best Fiends.

It’s a Helsinki-based company taking the approach of Rovio, creator of Angry Birds.

According to Venture Beat, Best Fiends launched in 2016 and by March 2018 was generating some $150,000 per day in revenue.

Seriously’s play count for the week ending January 13 at the stations tracked by iHeart-owned Media Monitors is 26,087.

Meanwhile, just above Seriously at No. 5 on the report, which includes iHeartRadio, is Indeed.

The job search website and employer-meets-future employee hub saw 36,797 spins air on the AMs and FMs tracked by Media Monitors.

The big leaders, however, remain GEICO and The Home Depot — of little surprise to regular readers and anyone who has listened to a radio station in recent weeks.
