Golden Arches Anchored At Cable

The King is about to get challenged from a QSR once known for Mayor McCheese.

McDonald’s is the prime mover in the latest Media Monitors Spot Ten Cable report, for the week ending April 29.

This activity puts the golden arches back in the Spot Ten, at No. 6, with 31,272 spots.

It’s a message to Burger King, which holds steady at No. 3.

Also in the mix among QSRs is Taco Bell, at No. 4.

Meanwhile, Flo and her understudy Jaime are out to get the gecko.

Progressive is a strong No. 2 to GEICO with 45,387 spots — making it the only brand other than its big-spending rival investing in more than 40,000 plays at spot cable.

Liberty Mutual and State Farm are also present, making auto insurance a key category for spot cable.
