Lynn Martin is acquiring WBKI-TV in the Louisville market out of foreclosure, and has already announced a deal that will put it under the care and feeding of a local TV duopoly.

Louisville TV Licenses LLC is the license company listed as seller, and Barbara Laurence signed off on the transaction application. The sale is at the behest of Valley Bank.

Martin’s L.M. Communications owns a radio cluster in the Lexington KY market. WBKI will the L.M.’s only television property, which it is buying under licensee name L.M. Communications TV LLC.

It was not clear from the attached documents how much Martin is in for in acquiring the station. Louisville TV paid $1.6M for it back in 2009.

The local arrangement is with Independence Television Company, a subsidiary of Block Communications Inc. It owns Fox WDRB-TV and MyTV WMYO-TV in the Louisville market. It will provide various services for Martin.

WBKI is a CW affiliate.
