Beasley Broadcast’s “Stan and Haney” will celebrate their 5,000th radio show together on 11/8. The heritage afternoon show, which airs on 96 K-Rock, WRXK-FM Ft. Myers-Naples, has dominated the Southwest Florida radio market for over two decades.
In honor of the accomplishment, they’re broadcasting live beginning at 2:00 p.m. from The Seminole Casino Immokalee. Fans and loyal listeners are encouraged to join the celebration which continues until 8:00 pm.
Stan Nawalaniec and Mark Haney first teamed up nearly 27 years ago in Melbourne, FL at WMMY 102.3. After a brief time apart, Haney joined Stan in May of 1993 at WRXK-FM a co-host of the station’s morning show.
As a team, Stan and Haney moved to the afternoon time slot in April, 1997.
“While at 96 K-Rock, we’ve gone through five general managers, nine program directors and multiple morning and afternoon timeslots,” says Stan, “but we’ve never doubted our passion for radio and for this community. The best part of our day is getting behind the mic.”
