NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution has sold the daytime show “Steve Harvey” through 2016 to station groups across the country, including the NBC Owned Television Stations. Harvey has already been renewed for three additional seasons in more than 65% of the U.S. to date.
“Steve is one of the best entertainers in the country and his first season has been a tremendous success because of the personal connection he makes with the daytime audience,” said Ted Harbert, Chairman, NBC Broadcasting. “It’s so great to see Steve’s very funny and substantive show being rewarded with long-term commitments from our station partners.”
The show, which was already renewed for its second season in national syndication earlier this year, has now been extended for additional seasons through 2016 with station groups including the NBC Owned Television Stations, Hearst, Cox, Media General, FOX, Sinclair, Gannett, Local TV, Allbritton, LIN, Nexstar, Raycom and more.
Harvey is produced by Endemol USA. Steve Harvey, Alex Duda and Rushion McDonald are executive producers. The show is distributed in national syndication by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and internationally by Endemol Worldwide Distribution. “Steve Harvey” is taped before a live studio audience at the state-of-the-art HD NBC 5 studios in downtown Chicago.
