Steve Rotfeld Productions renews three series

Steve Rotfeld Productions, a leading independent television production and broadcast syndication company, has announced the renewals of three of its weekly, FCC-friendly, children’s educational/informational (E/I) series for the fall of 2010. 


Twice-weekly series WILD ABOUT ANIMALS and AWESOME ADVENURES are presently cleared in 29 of the top 30 markets (total clearance in 85 percent of the U.S.) including the FOX O&O Station Group and major affiliates in other station groups: including Local TV, Tribune, Raycom Media, Cox and Media General. 

Additionally, season five of weekly series WHADDYADO has been cleared in 27 of the top 30 markets (and 80 percent of the U.S.) including CBS Television Stations group O&O stations, as well as stations from groups such as FOX, Tribune, Raycom Media, Sinclair, Cox and Barrington. 

“Since founding Steve Rotfeld Productions 25 years ago, we have taken great pride in being able to create award-winning, successful programming, including the three, FCC-friendly series that children continue to enjoy year in and year out on our partner stations,” said Mr. Rotfeld, who serves as executive producer for each series.  “With Wild About Animals and Awesome Adventures launching this fall with their strongest station lineups to date, we continue to bring value to television stations looking to meet their E/I requirements with quality programming.”

Following is information about the three series:

“WILD ABOUT ANIMALS”– Hosted by Emmy award-winning actress Marriete Hartley and entering its 16th season, “WILD ABOUT ANIMALS” spans the globe to bring viewers fascinating stories about animals. 

“AWESOME ADVENTURES” – Now in its 13th season, this series takes kids ages 13-16 on incredible journeys all over the world.  It has been honored with several awards, including the Gold Medal from the National Association of Parenting Publications and a Parent’s Choice Award. 

“WHADDYADO” (What do you do?)  – Premiering its fifth season, the “WHADDYADO” looks at real stories of people in peril and advises them how to respond. The station lineup for this series continues to grow stronger each year.
