The FCC is accepting procedural comments for FM Auction No. 79, during which it will peddle 122 construction permits. The auction is scheduled for 9/1/09. The FCC telegraphed where it thinks the hottest action will be with its minimum opening bid assignments, with eight landing in the six-figure zone. Three are at $120K, including Class C2 in Walnut Grove MS and Class As in Quinby SC and Buffalo Gap TX. There are three Class As kicking of at $150K in Opelousas LA, Muldrow OK and Lynchburg VA. Finally, two Class As debut at $200K, in Lamont CA and Marrieta CA. The full list is here:
