A report from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York showed stronger growth in manufacturing than had been expected. Also Tuesday, favorable economic news from Germany and China gave a boost to Wall Street. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 60 points, or 0.5%, to 12,482. Broadcasting stocks rose with the tide.
The RBR Radio Index was up 1.493, or 0.5%, to 331.241.
The TVBR Television Index was up 1.831, or 0.8%, to 240.249.
