Stock surge lifts Dow, S&P 500 to record closes


Stocks jumped Thursday, with the Dow and the S&P 500 knocking out all-time closing highs, after Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke said the Fed would remain accommodative. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 169.26 points, or 1.1%, to 15,460.92.

The RBR Radio Index was up 6.989, or 1.0%, to 677.731.

The TVBR Television Index was up 3.143, or .4%, to 748.990.
