A decline in new jobless benefits applications and more work by the Europeans to work out their economic problems gave Wall Street a boost on Thursday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 143 points, or 1.3%, to 11,154. Broadcasting stocks, however, were mixed.
The RBR Radio Index was down 1.116, or 0.4%, to 263.317.
The TVBR Television Index was up 2.497, or 1.3%, to 189.040.
