Stocks rose on Thursday as Republican House Speaker John Boehner expressed optimism about reaching a budget deal with President Barack Obama. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 59.75 points, or 0.5%, to end at 13,311.72, with Bank of America up 3% and J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. up 2.3%.
The RBR Radio Index was up 7.846, or 1.8%, to 434.548.
The TVBR Television Index was up 7.943, or 2.3%, to 353.884.
