A government report that retail sales gained in August wasn’t enough to offset Wall Street concerns about the financial sector, so stocks ended the day mixed. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 18 points, or 0.2%, to 10,526. The S&P 500 was also down a bit, but the Nasdaq Composite was up. Broadcasting stocks were also mixed.
The RBR Radio Index was up 0.664, or 0.3%, to 243.783.
The TVBR Television Index was down 0.520, or 0.3%, to 185.581.
