A report of a decrease in home building kept a lid on stock prices Wednesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the session with a small gain of five points to 10,409. The Nasdaq Composite was barely up and the S&P 500 down. Of note in broadcasting stocks: Trading was halted for a while in The Washington Post Company after what were determined to be erroneous trades appeared to double the price – which would be a costly mistake for a $450 stock. Most radio and TV stocks ended the day with small gains.
The RBR Radio Index was up 0.555, or 0.2%, to 380.428.
The TVBR Television Index was up 1.281, or 0.6%, to 206.734.
