With no significant economic news today, investors focused on Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen’s upcoming testimony to Congress on 2/11. The Dow Jones traded in negative territory for most of the session but closed slightly higher, up 7.71 points, or 0.1% at 15,801.79. The S&P 500 closed up 2.82 points, or 0.2% at 1,799.84.

The TVBR Television Index was down 15.212, or 2.0%, to 763.671.
