Stocks stepped higher Friday but closed mostly lower for the week, as investors stayed sensitive to news about the government shutdown. The S&P rose 11.85 points, or 0.7%, to 1,690.51. The Dow gained 76.10 points, or 0.5%, to 15,072.58, but was down 1.2% for the week.
The RBR Radio Index was up 6.274, or .9%, to 742.724.
The TVBR Television Index was up 19.546, or 2.5%, to 796.827.
