Stocks end mostly lower; retreat from record highs


Stocks mostly fell, with benchmark indexes pulling away from record highs, as Wall Street considered a report indicating better-than-expected growth in the service sector and a Fed official’s remarks that the central bank is closer to curbing its asset purchases. Halting a two-session winning run, the Dow lost 46.23 points, or 0.3%, to 15,612.13.

The RBR Radio Index was up 16.121, or 2.3%, to 717.767.

The TVBR Television Index was down 15.002, or 2.0%, to 718.820.
