Investors did some buying, but remained wary of events in Japan, with stock prices gaining for a second day on Friday, but again on low volume. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 84 points, or 0.7%, to 11,859. Broadcasting stocks also gained.
The RBR Radio Index was up 1.084, or 0.3%, to 376.354.
The TVBR Television Index was up 4.073, or 1.7%, at 250.209.
