Stocks lower over service data, rate cuts

Stocks finished moderately lower Thursday, coming back from a steeper decline, as investors weighed poor service sector growth and central bank rate cuts. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 47.15 points, or 0.4%, at 12,896.67, in a session that saw the index down as many as 92 points. Broadcast stocks were both up.


The RBR Radio Index was up 3.518, or .8%, to 454.373.

The TVBR Television Index was up .461, or .2%, to 239.224.
