Stocks mixed on Portugal’s woes – 7/5/11
Moody’s cut Portugal’s national debt to junk bond status (with a negative outlook to boot) and that put a dark cloud over Wall Street trading. However, Netflix jumped on an expansion announcement, boosting the Nasdaq Composite into positive territory while other major indices were lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 13 points, or 0.1%, to 12,570. Broadcasting stocks slid with the majority of the market.
The RBR Radio Index was down 3.596, or 1%, to 359.906.
The TVBR Television Index was down 3.474, or 1.3%, to 271.862.
