The bulls remained in control of Wall Street for the third straight week, with Dow component Caterpillar giving a boost to the blue chip index with its strong earnings report. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 73 points, or 0.6%. Broadcasting stocks gained broadly a day after word of the Cumulus Media deal to acquire Citadel Broadcasting.
US stock markets will be closed Monday, February 21st, in observance of Presidents Day.
The RBR Radio Index was up 8.539, or 2.2%, to 402.078.
The TVBR Television Index was up 0.715, or 0.3%, to 265.225 – its 9th straight all-time high.
