Despite a lackluster unemployment claims report, stocks jumped Thursday as economic data fed into investors’ hopes of further moves next week by the Fed to bolster the economy. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 155.53 points, or 1.24%, to 12,651.91, with all but two of its 30 components gaining. Broadcast stocks were up.
The RBR Radio Index was up 7.006, or 1.8%, to 387.425.
The TVBR Television Index was up 6.030, or 2.8%, to 219.256.
