Stocks sink after Fed speaks

Stocks fell sharply and Treasury yields surged as Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said the central bank may scale back its monthly bond purchases depending on the economic outlook. Extending its streak of triple-digit moves into a seventh session, the Dow fell 206.04 points, or 1.4%, at 15,112.19.


The RBR Radio Index was down 6.085, or .9%, to 651.806.

The TVBR Television Index was up 6.299, or .9%, to 694.132.
