Stocks surge on jobs report, but drop for week
Stocks rallied on Friday after a stronger-than-anticipated monthly jobs report, with the S&P 500 and Dow both snapping a five-session losing streak. But the two indexes still finished down for the week, as each halted an eight-week winning streak. The Dow gained 198.69 points, or 1.3%, to close at 16,020.20, finishing the week with a 0.4% decline.
The RBR Radio Index was up 9.757, or 1.2%, to 827.376.
The TVBR Television Index was up 18.596, or 2.2%, to 884.551.
