Across-the-board gains were seen for the majority of media companies on Wall Street Tuesday, as the Dow Jones Industrials Average climbed 114.78, to 19,911.21. Nasdaq was up 51.29, to 5,463.83.

Among the big gainers were Charter Communications, which grew 2.1%, to $283.65, and iHeartMedia, which increased its share value by 4% on a day where it thumbed its nose at a massive debt repayment due Thursday.

Saga Communications climbed yet again, rising 0.82%, to $49.40. But it was a down session for struggling Viacom, which declined 0.4%, to $38.90 on three analyst downgrades (see story, above).

The RBR Radio Index fell 0.237, or 0.04%, to 628.247.
The TVBR Television Index rose 9.568, or 1.00%, to 961.102.
