The Weather Channel has chosen the Storer Information Management System (SIMS) to manage the scheduling of their weather related content. SIMS will provide TWC streamlined functionality to manage the availability of their content and prevent scheduling conflicts.

SIMS aids in preparing and managing the complexities of on-air scheduling, and will give TWC the ability to share key data with a number of departments including traffic, legal and finance. StorerTV will be integrating SIMS with TWC’s Orion traffic system which will eliminate duplicated tasks and avoid costly mistakes.

“We are looking forward to having SIMS manage our on-air schedule, and incorporate finance and legal modules,” says Janet Johnson, the VP of Long-form Program Planning and Scheduling for The Weather Channel. “StorerTV has been extremely helpful in guiding our team as to how we will best manage our schedule efficiently through SIMS.”

“StorerTV is proud to be part of bringing The Weather Channel’s excellent programming to the millions of viewers it serves,” says Jay Batista, COO of StorerTV. “We look forward to this partnership as we continue to provide the tools that help networks like The Weather Channel bring consistent return on investment and increase productivity.”
