It was another positive session for media stocks on Tuesday as the Dow Jones Industrials Average powered past the 19,000 mark, finishing up 67.18 points, to 19,023.87. Nasdaq was up 17.49, to 5,386.35.
Among media companies seeing positive momentum is Charter Communications. The new owner of Time Warner Cable, which just added its “Spectrum” branding to New York cable news channel NY1, gained a solid 3.4%, to $272.99.
Saga Communications climbed by a dime, to $48.70.
The RBR Radio Index rose 5.963, or 0.97%, to 618.700.
The TVBR Television Index rose 6.516, or 1.01%, to 951.329.
