‘Strategic Improvements to Media Regulations’: O’Rielly’s Last Words

0

Inauguration Day may be nearly four months away, but FCC Commissioner Mike O’Rielly is already preparing for the future. In communication to RBR+TVBR, he confirms he is leaving no matter who wins the 2020 U.S. presidential race.

Late Friday (9/25), he also released a lengthy blog post offering what may very well be his final thoughts on media rule “modernization” — and the need to further deregulate local ownership rules.

The comments come as the U.S. Supreme Court is set to decide whether or not it will even hear the FCC’s appeal of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals remand of its Pai Commission rule rewrite.
