The University of New Mexico looked no further than its own campus to create TV spots to run within the school’s televised NCAA games. Students in the UNM Communication and Marketing Department created a 30-second and a 60-second “institutional spot” to air when the school’s team, the Lobos, play on national TV.
According to the school’s Daily Lobo newspaper, students have created the UNM spots for the past two years.
The spot below, “Big Moments,” ran during Saturday’s (2/18) CBS broadcast of UNM playing the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. As it happens, the Lobos beat UNLV 65-45.
