Subcommittee ready to markup spectrum bills

The House Energy and Commerce’s Committee’s Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, and the Internet is assembling Thursday morning, 1/21/10 to consider a pair of spectrum-related bills it debated back in December 2009.

The bills are H.R. 3125, the Radio Spectrum Inventory Act, and H.R. 3019, the Spectrum Relocation Improvement Act of 2009.

During the hearing, most legislators seemed content to get an accurate accounting of the current use of spectrum in the US before delving into repurposing any of it. Details of the hearing can be found here:

The committee is chaired by Rick Boucher (D-VA), with Cliff Stearns (R-FL) serving as Ranking Member.
