Sunday Night Football was the No. 1 broadcast on Sunday night and led NBC to another Sunday night win, according to overnight data released today by The Nielsen Company.
Last night’s game on NBC, in which the Patriots beat the Jets, 37-16, registered a 14.5 overnight rating and a 23 share, up two percent from last year’s Week 10 game (Patriots-Steelers, 14.2/22), and is the fourth-best overnight rating for Sunday Night Football this season.

NBC NO. 1 ON SUNDAY NIGHT: Last night’s Sunday Night Football broadcast won the night while facing original network programs. NBC led the night among metered markets in primetime (7-11 p.m.) with a 11.2/17, topping the 7.7/12 for second-place CBS. NBC also beat Fox (6.8/10) by 65 percent and ABC (5.6/9) by 100 percent.

37 FOR 38: When the viewership is available tomorrow from Nielsen, Sunday Night Football is expected to be the most-watched primetime show on Sunday night. This will mark the 37th time in 38 primetime NFL games – dating back to Week 7 in 2009 – that NBC has defeated its competition (34 Sundays, two Thursdays and one Tuesday).
