‘The NFL Today’ features Pittsburgh Steelers Defensive Corps for week 3 of ‘The NFL Today’ on Sunday, Sept. 26.
THE NFL TODAY feature for Week 3 will be on Pittsburgh’s defense. It has been up to the Pittsburgh defense to carry the load while quarterback Ben Roethlisberger serves his suspension for the first four games of the season.
The Steelers are tied for the NFL lead in allowing the fewest points per game (10 points per game and allowing only one touchdown); and sixth in yards allowed per game.
Pittsburgh has forced a league leading eight turnovers, including seven in their 19-11 win over Tennessee last week.
This week the Steelers take on the surprising 2-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they try to be a perfect 4-0 during Roethlisberger’s absence.
